Cat has been with Family Vets since 2006. She began her career in veterinary medicine at the age of 16 while she was still in high school and began her college degree in Pre-Vet.
She previously worked in Florida and has completed additional training in canine/feline dentistry and has 2 years experience in veterinary emergency services. She is currently working to get her Wildlife Rehabilitation license and will focus mainly on squirrels and raccoons. Cat lives in Peru with her husband and two dogs, Bullett and Ruger. She enjoys cooking, crafting and Harry Potter.
Crystal graduated Holyoke Community College's Veterinary Technician program in 2008 with Bachelors degrees in Animal Science and Mathematics.
She has been in the field for over 9 years before becoming a member of the Family Veterinary Center in March 2017. She has a new husky puppy named Boomer. In her spare time she enjoys four-wheeling, snowmobiling, golfing, shopping and spending time with her family.
Lauren's love for animals has brought her into the veterinary field as a career choice, with over four years of experience working as a veterinary assistant.
Since a young age her passion for animals has given her the opportunity and privilege to actively foster and rescue pets and creatures of all kinds, including snakes, iguanas, horses, ferrets, and almost everything in between. Lauren has dedicated a lot of time to fostering and helping the local animal control officers. You can usually find Lauren in her gardens or working with stone, she is passionate about nature and being outdoors. Fishing is one of her favorite hobbies. She also enjoys spending time on her art, including drift wood sculptures, drift wood furniture, stained glass, painting, and refurbishing/repurposing antique and vintage items.
Rae is a certified Vet Assistant and Groomer with additional certifications in Animal care, Animal First Aid and Animal CPR. She is currently working towards a degree is criminal justice to achieve her goal as an animal control officer. Rae got her start early working with dogs at an animal shelter located in Central Florida where she was born and raised. This is where she fell in love with the idea of really getting to know a dog on a personal level. Her passion for animals goes way back to when she was a child. Although on a professional level, in addition to working at the animal shelter she also worked for a local doggie daycare for two years. At home she is owned by 2 fur kids 'Chappie' and 'Athena' as well as other rescue animals. She is a Step mother to 2 small children and in her free times she spends it doing fun activities with her little family. Her hobbies include painting, reading, visiting her friends at Camp K-9 , writing music and pretty much anything art related.
Shannon is our new groomer! She discovered her passion for grooming in 2008 and has been perfecting her craft ever since. She mainly focuses on canines and is very compassionate about their well-being. She has done additional training with the 'Queen of Color' in 2012 and received her certificate for canine airbrush design. Shannon has also trained in Asian fusion design. Her love for her work is evident in all of her finished pets!
Jill has been with us since 2005 as a certified accountant and has been working with businesses all over the Valley for more than 25 years. Primarily, she works out of her West State St. location in Granby, MA, under the title Jill Kopka, CPA.
